CSG Law's Giantomasi and Schwartz Again Named to NJBIZ's Power 100 List

Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (“CSG Law”) is pleased to announce that Francis J. Giantomasi and Daniel A. Schwartz have again been named to the 2023 edition of NJBIZ’s Power 100, a recognition of New Jersey’s most influential people in business.

Amid CSG Law’s continued growth and recognition as a leader in the State’s business community, Frank and Dan were again recognized for their outstanding contributions to the Firm, its surrounding communities, and the greater business landscape. Frank and Dan were both recognized on the NJBIZ Power 100 list in 2021 and 2022.

Frank, a Member with CSG Law’s Real Estate, Development & Land Use Group and the firm’s Executive Committee, “is one of the most prominent real estate players in the Newark-Elizabeth corridor, serving as redevelopment counsel to several notable mixed-use projects in the area,” according to NJBIZ. As noted by the publication, Frank’s “work includes the New Jersey Performing Arts Center’s signature master plan for a mixed-use redevelopment on 6.1 acres surrounding the cultural institution that would create a new arts neighborhood, as well as redevelopment and land use counsel to LEG-BP Bayonne Owner – the developer of a 152.9-acre site slated for port-related development – in a pivotal land swap agreement with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.”

Frank, according to NJBIZ, “has represented numerous developers on projects including Netflix in its successful bid to convert the former Fort Monmouth Army base into a state-of-the-art production facility; the $35 million Newark Courtyard by Marriott hotel; the Newark Hotel Indigo; seven historic building conversions on Market Street developed into 35,000 square feet of retail with more than 80 residential units in a $35 million mixed-use project; and much more. Additionally, he chaired CSG Law’s lease committee in the redevelopment of the former Arthur Andersen offices in Roseland into the firm’s new 120,000-square-foot headquarters.” Frank also “chairs the board of trustees of Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of New Jersey, and he also sits on the board of advisors for Saint Peter’s University’s Guarini School of Business in Jersey City,” the publication said.

Dan, who was the firm’s Managing Member until Patricia Costello assumed the role in 2022, currently serves as the chair of Strategic Planning and Development. As noted by NJBIZ, “he was most recently responsible for coordinating many of the details for the firm’s build-out of its new 120,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art headquarters, working closely with the firm’s management and lease committee to ensure that goals and objectives were met.” In his previous role as Managing Member, Dan helped increase revenue, headcount and geographic footprint — expanding its New York activities and recruiting dozens of attorneys across a variety of practice areas as well as adding new practices that anticipated client needs.
